Film Markets are Back!

Based on all of the big sales at the Toronto International Film Festival happening right now (for example Fox Searchlight’s acquired Steve McQueen’s SHAME and CBS Films acquired Lasse Hallstrom’s SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN), this means there will be more money available for production. Use this heat to your advantage. Don't miss out by being unprepared! Create a budget for your screenplay so that investors take you seriously. Investors, Producers, Foreign Sales Agents and Distributors always request budget numbers and Quick Film Budget can serve all of your budget needs.

Quick Film Budget is pleased to hold our next "How To Get Your Script Into Production" seminar in the New York area:

Showbiz Store & Cafe
19 W. 21st St.

QFB Partners with Itzon

Quick Film Budget in proud partnership with itzon – a new film platform. It’s film, but different.
Press Release dated 15/05/2011

Film is changing, TV is changing, distribution and audiences are changing.

itzon is setting out to showcase and market films on a unique online platform by converging TV, Internet video and film festival with the latest in cloud and streaming technologies. The platform delivers a huge range of independent films, documentaries and animations from around the world all scheduled into a linear stream. itzon is a curated, hassle-free, high-definition ‘TV’ experience, available through Internet browsers or Internet-ready TVs. itzon offers the independent filmmaker a way to not only promote their film but to earn revenue from it also.
Quick Film Budget is proud to be supporting the filmmakers by sponsoring the Best Fiction award in itzon’s monthly film festival in May and June.

In addition to the free-to-view linear stream (complete with auto-adaptive bandwidth detection to help eliminate buffering and stalling) www.itzon.tv offers:

· Scheduled listings displayed online and in the weekly digital Whatzon magazine delivered by email to viewers.

· itzonDemand, a Video on Demand (VoD) catch-up service. Viewers can either watch films from the library for free with advert breaks, or purchase credit and watch the films advert-free. In both systems, the revenue generated is shared with the filmmaker.

· A monthly film festival: all accepted film submissions are also part of the itzon festival. Voted for by the viewers and judged by an industry panel.

· Promotion of films that receive rave reviews from the itzon audience to distributors, broadcasters and commissioning editors.

itzon will be marketed globally to attract large viewer numbers and open opportunity for the viewing public to see films they would never get the chance to see in the main-stream cinemas. The itzon team is passionate about providing digital promotion to independent films in all stages of distribution, not just the latest releases. Whether this is a re-launch of a popular film that is now experiencing a plateau in viewing numbers or DVD sales, a date-specific screening, or a simultaneous multiplatform launch, itzon is flexible and curated to maximize the platform for the individual filmmaker’s needs. itzon accepts submissions for review across all genres, from shorts to full-length features.

- End of press release –
